In Kind Gifts

MWYF is always accepting in-kind gifts. Although we accept gifts throughout the year, there are also certain times of year where we hold ‘Drives’ for specific items. These include:

Holiday Angels Program: Holiday Angels help MWYF provide each student in our program and every child in their household with gifts to open over the holiday season. Community partners collaborate on this project by becoming Holiday Angels for a set number of students with family sizes ranging from 1-8 children. Angels commit to purchasing one new outfit, a new pair of athletic tennis sneakers, and one gift up to $40 in value for each child they choose to sponsor. Student sizes and gift preferences are provided. The estimated cost to participate is $150 per child. Email volunteer@malwashington for more information.

Please note that we do NOT accept tennis clothing, individual racquet bags (for 1-2 racquets) or used balls!

New and gently used racquets (especially two of the same)
New and gently used shoes
Grips & overgrips
String
Dampners
New balls (red, orange, green or yellow)
New socks

School Supplies:

Most needed in August, but accepted year round. Most critical supplies include:

Copy paper
Pencils
Poster boards
Science boards
General school supplies

Cleaning Supplies:

Although our cleaning drive is in February, they are accepted year round. Most critical supplies include:

All-purpose cleaner
Garbage bags
Air fresheners
Hand sanitizer

Thanksgiving Drive: MWYF provides each of our families with a full Thanksgiving meal over the holiday! We accept all sorts of nonperishable food in the month of November to support this project. For more details email volunteer@malwashington
